Samuel Light is my take on the new age detective story. He is a flawed human, as most of us are, but with more positive traits than negative ones.

His most positive trait is his unrelenting desire to help others, often times at the cost of his own peace of mind and physical well being.

He is a very smart man, but never able to get the girl. That job is taken up by his rascal of a companion, Jimbo, a burly Texan with a  huge appetite.

They often times team up to solve crimes of passion, as well as mysteries that most of us would be scared to death if they happened to us.
